Congrats on the move. TN is a beautiful state full of wonderful people. Expect to run into some "defense" when a native Tennessean finds out where you moved from. Good luck. Get out and wander TN - there is a lot to see.

Tribalism is so easy to fall into when we live in such a "socially" engaged world. I put socially in quotes because it makes me gag a little to give such a positive-sounding name to the drivel that people expel at each other via the interwebs.

Good job and congratulations with the move. What you wrote, reminded me of something one of the guys I follow who moved off the west coast this spring said a while back, "Sometimes I miss LA. Truth is, I’ve been missing it for years." I am sure it's not a perfect fit, but I know you will make it wherever you end up living.

YES! Thank you for your data analysis. Finding your work has kept me sane, too. Even as I made moves to change "home" forever last year. There were many factors involved in making the move, the hardest being the realization the my home and I, after 67 years and many years of residence in other states and countries, had irreconcilable differences. My Kentucky had been a place of unbridled spirit. Once the spell of that romantic notion was broken this 7th generation Kentuckian moved on to Florida where I can still connect with a KY diaspora to defend the state we knew. Enjoy Chattanooga. Not pretty like the cascades, but it has its charms and green grows on you.
